LOCAL BEACHES
One of the biggest attributes of our area is our miles of public access beaches. ALL with FREE parking! Each of our local beaches has it's own particular attributes and personality. So give them all a look-over. You're gonna LOVE them!
- Nokomis Beach  
Located on Casey Key just North of DownTown Venice. It is Sarasota County's oldest Public Beach! There are 22 acres of land which include 1,700 feet of frontage on the Gulf, and 3,200 feet of frontage on the Intracoastal Waterway. A family oriented beach popular for picnicing, fishing, and its' volleyball courts.
Amenities: Restrooms, parking, pavillion, small picnic shelters, boat ramp, boardwalk and deck,volleyball courts, dune walkovers.
Lifeguards are on duty year-round.
- North Jetty Beach  
Located on the farthest South tip of Casey Key just North of Downtown Venice. One of the hottest surfing spots on the Gulfcoast of Florida. Popular area for family picnics and large group outings. Adjacent to the Venice Fishing Jetties, where a steady stream of pleasure boats access the Gulf from the Intercoastal Waterway. There are 18 acres of land which include 900 feet of frontage on the Gulf.
Amenities: Restrooms, parking, large picnic shelter, small picnic shelters, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, concession, baitshop, dune walkovers.
Lifeguards are on duty year-round.
- Venice Beach  
Located at the West end of Venice Avenue in Downtown Venice. The close proximity of downtown shopping and dining (three blocks away) makes this beach a local favorite. A very popular spot for local and traveling divers as a reef containing fossilized material lies just a quarter-mile offshore. There are 5 acres of land which include 875 feet of frontage on the Gulf.
Amenities: Restrooms, parking, pavillion, concession, picnic tables, volleyball courts, beach wheelchairs, dune walkovers.
Lifeguards are on duty year-round.
- Brohard Beach  
Located at the South end of Harbor drive adjacent to the Venice Airport. A public fishing pier that contains a snack bar, baitshop, and restrooms extends over 700 feet into the Gulf. There are 84 acres of land which include 4,800 feet of frontage on the Gulf.
Amenities: Venice Municipal Fishing Pier, Sharkey's Restaurant(seafood), Pelican Man's Bird Sanctuary, vegetated wetlands bird watch area, parking, baitshop, snackshop, restrooms.
NO LIFEGUARDS are on duty.
- Caspersen Beach  
Located at the extreme South end of Harbor drive. Caspersen beach has been largely preserved, safe from development. No businesses, no condos, no houses, just secluded and beautiful in its' natural state! Well known for great shelling, and the pre-historic sharks teeth and other fossils that regularly find their way to the shore. 1,100 feet of boardwalk and dune walkovers protect the native plant species and dunes. There are 177 acres of land which include 9,150 feet of frontage on the Gulf.
Amenities: Boardwalk, parking, restrooms, picnic areas, nature trail, dune walkovers.
